Warp knitting differs from weft knitting in that the coils it forms are arranged in a vertical or warp direction and are made of adjacent yarns bonded to each other. The machine used in warp knitting looks somewhat like a loom. All the yarn is wound on the warp shaft, which is located behind and above the knitting area, and all the yarn is fed into the knitting area at the same time.
